Testimonials
"My husband died recently. I would like to tell you why I highly recommend the services of Marilaurice Hemlock to assist you with the enormous events surrounding the death and remembrance of a loved one. Our family’s experience of her professional assistance at the time of my husband’s death was extremely profound, meaningful and valuable....During the funeral celebration of his life, I remember sitting there and just letting the whole experience wash over me. I felt a bit overwhelmed and remember thinking that Marilaurice and the others would take care of the funeral ritual beautifully. I could just sit and be present to all that was unfolding.

Family, friends and some folks I don’t know well, spoke to me or wrote to me about what a powerful and tender experience it had been to be present at his funeral. I am so grateful I had the professional, experienced and personal leadership of Marilaurice Hemlock for this precious and powerful event in our lives."

"My longtime friend, Art, recently had his funeral at the Spirit of St Stephen’s Catholic Community. Anne Archbold led the service and her sensitive and inclusive approach helped everyone attending feel welcomed, both adults and children. Marilaurice Hemlock crafted this liturgy in such a way that, with the wide variety of spiritualities present in those attending, all felt included in this wonderful celebration of Art’s life.
Six months later, the cremated remains of Art and his partner, Monica, were buried alongside their adult son.
Once again, Marilaurice was able to include everyone present in a blessing of the earth with water, stories, and flowers. One of the grandsons drummed and sang a traditional chant while we took turns filling the hole with dirt. It was a fitting and honorable goodbye for my friends."
